Description

Sales and Use Tax Management

The growth in volume of card payments within the United States has resulted in closer scrutiny of card transactions by state sales tax auditors. Is your organization prepared for an audit? Tax expert Greg Anderson partnered with the NAPCP during fourth quarter 2010 and first quarter 2011 to survey end-users on their approaches to managing sales and use tax. Learn how your organization compares to what your peers are doing. Greg shares key findings from the study and offers suggestions on how to improve the process. The presentation addresses:

  • prevalence of organizations with a use tax accrual process
  • the frequency of accruals, time involved and the estimated accuracy, as reported by end-users
  • why organizations need to care about sales and use tax management
  • best practice characteristics of a sales/use tax process
